Pewter Ox is the color of rich, deep old potmetal (or what I call mystery metal)! such as you find in the lower-end novelty figural brooches of the 30's. This finish is commercially applied by the finest costume jewelry finishers in the business, according to strict industry standards for jewelry components. It is a permanent finish and does not need polishing or lacquer. Pewter ox plating does contain the smallest possible amount of nickel necessary to complete this shade, and our plater uses far less than most do, in crafting it.
