This is a vintage inspired piece that fits together rather quickly. Once your components are ready, waiting for the glue to set is the longest part!

Materials:
1 drilled flat oval stone, 30 x 40mm
1 filigree butterfly (I used one from B'Sue)
2 small filigree heart leaves (I used B'Sue's: lf50)
2 ball end head pins
Vintage bronze wire, 22 gauge
Antique brass chain
Lobster clasp
3 filigree bead caps
2 faceted glass beads
3 cultured freshwater pearls
2 brass rondelle spacer beads
Copper wire, 16 gauge
Antique brass jump rings: two 8mm, tow 6mm, three 4mm
1 round bead, 4mm, for butterfly center (I used a cultured freshwater pearl)
E6000 glue
Tools:
Creme brulee torch for patina, if desired
Cup of water for patina
Hammer
Toothpick (for glue application)
Pair round-nosed pliers
Pair wire cutters
2 jewelry clamps (B'Sue carries these in the Tools section on her website)
2 pair flat nose or chain pliers
To Make the Spiral "S" Connector Link:
1. Take a 3 to 4 inch piece of copper wire and use the round nose pliers to make a small loop.
2. Continue curling the same loop round & round, using about 1/2 the length of wire.
3. Make another small loop on the other end, rolling the wire in the opposite direction. You now have an "s" shaped spiral.
4. Lay your wire on a a hard surface & hammer flat, allowing the spirals to flatten as they may.
To Patina Using a Torch:
1. Clean the copper link, filigree leaves & butterfly with a soap such as Dawn. Dry, being careful not to handle with your hands as skin oils can affect the patina.
2. Using a tweezers or flat nosed pliers, hold finding & torch. Remove from flame & place finding in your cup of water once desired patina has been achieved.
To Make the Necklace:
1. Take filigree butterfly & place on flat oval stone. Using your fingers, bend wings to wrap around stone. Once butterfly is shaped, apply E6000 glue to the under side of the wings with a toothpick. Clamp to stone & let dry overnight.

2. Using a ball end head pin, wire wrap a glass bead dangle, using 1 filigree bead cap. This will be the dangle for your focal pendant.
3. Take a piece of vintage bronze wire to string a second glass bead with both remaining filigree bead caps. Form a wrapped loop that attaches to the point of 1 filigree leaf. Form another wrapped loop on the other end.
4. Take the vintage bronze wire & string 3 pearls with a single brass rondelle between each. Cut the wire, leaving 1.5 inches on each end and form wrapped loops.
5. Add an 8mm jump ring to each end of the "s" swirl link. Attach to pearls.
6. Once the glue has set/dried on your focal stone, remove clamps. Take the 4mm bead and apply E6000 with a toothpick to one side and press into the center of the butterfly. Set aside to dry.
7. Attach a 4mm jump ring to the rounded end of the filigree leaf that is already joined with the filigree capped glass bead. Attach two 4mm jump rings to the other filigree leaf, one ring on each end. Cut about 3/4 inches (20mm) of chain and connect the two leaves.
8. Cut about 11.75 inches (300mm) of chain. Attach a 6mm jump ring and lobster clasp to one end; attach the other end to the empty jump ring on the filigree leaf.
9. Once the focal pendant is completely dry, insert a ball end head pin through the stone and form loops at the top & bottom. Attach the glass bead dangle for the pendant at the bottom.
10. Cut about 3/4 inches (20mm) of chain. Add a 4mm jump ring to one end & attach to the glass bead and filigree leaves.
11. Attach a 6mm jump ring to the top loop of the focal pendant, connecting the pearls and the end of the chain from step 10.
