My friends and mentors, Linda and Opie O'Brien of Burnt Offerings Studio, gave me my first pair of metal shears---this VERY style. Of all the shears they'd tried out, these were their favorites for detail cutting. They cut tin, copper, silver up to .020 as if it was butter! For brass, we've found here that it cuts 24 ga and up very nicely. You'll need something more for anything over 20 gauge, but much of B'sue Boutiques' brass is 24-26 ga, so these will be perfect! (NOTE: Gilding weight brass is heavier, and the shears will not be adequate for anything that is gilding weight. Just shoot me a quick email if you have questions about use with brass! Great rubber grip, makes cutting a dream.

Metal shears

Love my new shears. Handle grip is comfortable and they worked well on lightweight metal I'm using for art projects. Highly recommend them!

Fabulous

These are the best metal shears I have ever used. Like others have said, cuts like a regular pair of scissors cut paper. You can't go wrong with these, except for maybe keeping them with your tools and having to go find them because your husband borrowed them. Might have to get him a pair of his own..lol.

Great Shears

I love these metal shears! I have a pair already, and I've ordered another. They are so much easier to use than other metal shears I own. They cut through metal like scissors cut through paper, and they don't strain your hands or stick. I haven't found this great tool anywhere else. Thanks for stocking these Brenda Sue!

These shears are fabulous! I bought them to cut B'Sue's brass stampings, and they cut through the brass like it was butter. I was even able to cut in detailed, tight corners with a minimum of fuss.
