It was first made in the 50's and 60's, made in the USA, and is no longer made. It's also heavy weight gilding brass. Gingerbread brass is brass that has a very heavy copper content, so it's got a unique weathered copper look, darkening and patina. (Brass is usually 85% copper, 15% zinc, but the copper is a little higher in this type of brass.)
