Mixed vintage pearl shell buttons from an old warehouse.ALL PEARL...NO plastic, etc. All are the perfect thickness for assemblage...on the thinner side, not too thin, just RIGHT. From 4mm to about 18mm, there is white, deep cream and the darker grey-charcoal color. Some have a bit of iridescence. Four hole and two hole for the most part and then, there are even some mother of pearl discs 10-12mm or so that have not been drilled, I especially like to play with those. Each package has 5 ounces, which is a nice salad plate full (see images below). As these buttons were stored for years in old boxes in a dirty corner of a warehouse, you might have to soak some, but by and large they are clean and not much work. If you do have to clean some, what I do is put them in a bowl, spritz with bleach counter spray and cover with a little hot water. In about a half an hour, drain and rinse well. You might have to repeat for some, or just hand wipe. Not a bad job, though, and not that many that are grungy, anyway. I LOVE these buttons!!! Because I see so much artistic potential. ;-)
